| Early member of Austin Colony, fought in Texas Revolution and worked in Republic of Texas government, had a home, ferry across Colorado and store in LaGrange that were order burned by Sam Houston in Runaway Scrape, which created great animosity; moved to Burnet County in 1850s after his sons came to the new county. |
