The Falls on the Colorado is an all-volunteer organization committed to preserving the history of our area. Our dedication and team spirit have made it possible to create a lasting showcase for the artifacts of our past and to tell the story of our area for future generations.
We have work for most anyone who comes forward to volunteer. Some of the skills we especially need are:
Docents - to help visitors get the most out of their Museum visits
Graphics Artists - to create images and displays that illustrate historical objects and events
Writers - to document our collection and tell the story of our local history
Educators - to disseminate knowledge to future generations
Researchers - to discover new information about our past
Historians - to provide us with the benefit of their professional experience and expertise
Archeologists/Anthropologists/Geologists - to bring scholarship and a wider understanding of objects we display
Builders - to assist with maintenance and expansion of the Museum
Gardeners - to take care of our gardens and help create naturalist exhibits
Drivers - to run errands and help our people get around
Techies - to help manage our computing, communications, data storage, and media
Cooks - to help plan and prepare goodies for our events and receptions
Hosts and Hostesses - to organize hospitality for museum events
If you are considering volunteering, please drop by the Museum so we can discuss your interests and availability.
